Licensing

Which licence each published noy-db version carries, where the trademark policy lives, and what the pre-release line means for the licence you are reading.

Which licence does noy-db ship under?

Apache-2.0, from 0.8.0-pre.0 on. Every 0.8.0-pre.0 tarball across the published @noy-db/* families (hub and the core packages, to-*, as-*, on-*, at-*, ui) carries a LICENSE and a NOTICE file.

Relicensed from MIT to Apache-2.0 from this version on. Earlier versions remain MIT.

A licence change is a version event, not a retro-edit: 0.7.0 — the last stable release — and every earlier version stay MIT exactly as published. Nothing already on npm was altered. If you pin 0.7.0, you hold MIT code; the moment you move to the 0.8.0-pre.0 line you hold Apache-2.0 code, and the LICENSE inside the installed package is the authoritative text for the version you actually resolved.

Trademark

The names and marks are governed separately from the code licence. The policy is published in the family's .github repository: TRADEMARK.md.

Which line does this site document?

The footer of every page names the rail and version this site documents. The licence statement on this page applies to that line; for any other version, read the LICENSE file shipped in its tarball (npm pack @noy-db/hub@<version> --dry-run lists it).
